Dear Friends,
We want to take this opportunity to touch base with you before the next round of OPA MicroFIT projects are approved. This has been the OPA's longest time lag in releasing MicroFIT projects to date. The delay appears to be caused by the work they are doing on larger FIT projects, and the huge popularity of this program.
Some of our clients have received their conditional offers just this week. We are expecting that this will accelerate over the next month.
Every one of our clients is excited about this program and in a hurry to complete their installation, and we want you to know how we are handling this situation. At iSolara, we book our installations on a first-come, first-served basis using the date we receive an initial deposit. People who want to ensure an earlier installation date can do that by paying their deposit to secure a date. Your deposit is 100% fully refundable if you do not get a Conditonal Offer from the OPA for your MicroFIT project. We have not heard of any that were declined to date. By signing up early we can also begin the process of doing the paperwork with Hydro to make sure we can get your system connected quickly once it is installed.
New InstallationsiSolara has been working on nine more 10kW systems in Finch, Cardinal, Metcalfe, Dalmeny, Westport, Renfrew, Almonte, Carp and Dunrobbin areas including two Deger 5000 continual-tracking systems, two sloped roof systems and five of our own specially designed QuickTrackTM seasonally-adjusted systems.
If you would like to visit a system in your area, please let us know. Our connected clients have seen excellent production figures, particularly with all the sunny Spring weather and some have already started to receive their first cheques. Remember, starting your installation sooner means that you will gain more of the sun before the shorter days of winter.
Your revised quote with the HST.and how you can save the taxes!
Now that the transition period for the HST is under way, attached to this email you will find a new estimate showing changes to reflect the HST. Any new installations started now will only be fully completed after July 1 and will be invoiced with the new HST tax on the system and installation. The HST will be refundable for anyone who is a GST registrant; we suggest that if you are not already registered for the GST, that you should register. This will permit you to save 13% on the installation of your solar system, and increase the return on your investment. Click here to learn more about registering for the GST/HST.
You can now finance your systemSeveral sources are now formally lending money for the purpose of installing solar including Farm Credit, TD Bank and other private lenders. We are a partner with TD and have been for years so let us know if you would like any information on this. We also now have access to reputable private lenders who can provide 100% financing (as a loan or a lease) at about the same rate as a mortgage plus 3%.
